Feature Writing Training in Pokhara

On 5 th of February 2007, Monday, all the participants from around the different districts of the western region gathered in the training with their excitements and enthusiasm.

After the Inaugural Session, a five days long Feature Writing Training began with the introduction of the participants, trainers and the training associates.

Before proceeding to the formal training, lead trainer Mr. Mohan Mainali drew the attention of the participants towards the regulations to be maintained within the training premises

Total of 20 participants representing various districts in Western Region of Nepal took part in the training.

All the participants have are found the training most fruitful for them and stated that it would definitely support their professional career. After the completion of the training they have found themselves in the new world of journalism. They said that though they have seen numerous issues to write on it, they didn't know how to express it in words but the training has helped them a lot. They also expressed their commitment to write more and said that the training has highly encouraged them to go forward. Almost all the participants have expressed their commitment to be the full time professional journalists, which can be considered as the most outstanding and affirmative achievement of the Feature Writing Training in Pokhara.

The five day long training was facilitated by Ms. Nirmala Sharma, Editor of Sancharika Lekhmala. She is as well the General Secretary of Sancharika Samuha. Ms. Suchitra Shrestha, Secretary of Sancharika Samuha was assigned as the Assistant Trainer for the training program.

Closing Ceremony of 5 days long Feature Writing Training and the Round Table Session with editors, publishers and media gatekeepers was concluded on 10 th of Feb 2007. A total of 40 participants including participants of Feature Writing Training, editors, publishers and media gatekeepers from Pokhara and surroundings were in the ceremony.
