For the second time FNJ has organized the programme

The two day National level Conference of women journalist concluded Friday by adopting the declaration aimed at empowering the women Journalist working in media sector.

On the second day of the conference, Women Journalist interacted with the editors of various media houses to discuss ways to enhance their professionalism in media sector.

The interaction also helped the women Journalist to know the importance of the being technologically friendly and how it helps to enrich their career in journalism.

Attending the concluding session, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala assured women journalists of fulfilling their every logical demand and support from him.

Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General Samuel Tamrat stressed on the role of women Journalist in educating the rural people on the importance of constituent assembly election.

Journalists and Editors of various media houses laid stress on the free media and advocated for the avoiding the political interference in media sector.

President of Federation of Nepalese Journalist Bishnu Nishthuri demanded for the security of the journalists.

President of Sancharika Samuha Babita Basnet highlighted on the importance of qualitative performances in the media and urged the women journalist to work together for the consolidation of democracy and free press.

Over 1 hundred Women Journalist from 5 development region and working in various media sector attended the conference.

The program was organized by the Federation of Nepalese Journalist.
