FM radio Programme for Women
Chairman of the National Assembly Ram Preet Paswan opened the women's division of Environmental Cycle Radio (ECR) FM 104.Mhz here Tuesday.
The division will provide information ,entertainment and counseling to women especially to those living in the rural areas.The ECR conducts programmes for three hours every day.
Speaking at a programme entitled 'Development of Women Through Media, 'Paswan said women should be encouraged to participate in every organization to increase their capacity .
Executive Director of ECR FM Asta Man Shrestha said the division would conduct the programmes to create awareness about health and the environment, while encouraging women to participation of rural women in community radios.
AMARC is an umbrella committee of world community radios ,and the ECR is the first FM station of Nepal to be a member of AMARC-WIN (woman international network).
