Women's Involvement and Role of Media in the Peace Process

Sancharika Samuha in collaboration with CIDA organized an orientation programme in Dharan on 29 September, 2007. The Resource Persons for the programme were Babita Basnet, President of Sancharika Samuha and Bimala Tumkhewa, Executive Member supplemented the programme through their inputs on gender perspectives and the importance of women's involvement in the Constituent Assembly. The programme was coordinated and facilitated by Manita Chamling of Dharan and Ganga Baral of Sunsari. Various senior journalists of Dharan spoke on the occasion. A total of 58 participants representing media and civil society of Sunsari, Biratnagar and Dhankuta participated in the programme.
